Real Case Problems in Indonesia

Here are the recorded problems:

  • There's no situation mapping, many deployed volunteer didn't have enough information
  • There's no local/native field coordinators (they're also victims). There were some hierarcy of disaster coordination in Indonesia and sometime the coordination is not yet optimized:
    • Posko (Local command center)
    • Satlak (City administration level)
    • Satkorlak (Province administration level)
    • Bakornas (National administration level)
  • Infrastructure
    • Telecommunication
    • Posko / command center
    • Logistic transportation
  • Unit measures/metering, inventory always recorded with minimum information about it's amount and there's no standard
  • Map resource and geographical data is mostly classified. there's no public source available
  • Map in printed format sometimes more helpful/handy, so there's should be printer available to print the computerized maps
  • Even if there were geographical data (GPS coordinates) there were some case where need detailed information (for example radius)
  • Different data format or record system
  • Data mostly not stored or at least available at the location itself
  • Need data to start
    • The location's road/street data
    • The location's river data
    • Logistic route data
    • Victims data
    • Damaged and dangerous area data
    • The location's medical facilities or medical resource data
    • Age & sex data
